Headford District Association are holding their annual fundraising Concert on Friday 17th February in St. Fursa’s Hall from 8.30pm.

A wonderful line of local gifted musicians, singers &comedians, both young and old will perform on the night. They include Matt Keane, The Berrill Family, The Stratz, Noelie Mc Donnell, Fionnuala Deacy, Eamon Quinn & The Campbell’s Session Boys ,Shane Cunningham and Winifred Joyce.

Tickets €10 are on sale at local outlets in Headford or at the door on the night.

Garrymore Drama are staging their latest play “The Cripple of Inishmaan” in Headford Hall on Tuesday 7th February at 8.30pm. This is a dark comedy which is set in the Aran Islands and written by Martin McDonagh. A good night is assured.

Due to popular demand the Ladies circuit exercise class in Kilcoona Community Centre, which runs on Tuesdays at 8pm will also run on Thursdays at 8pm.

Gary Brookfield, established actor & director is running Adult Drama/Acting Classes from wednesday 8th February 12 for 8 weeks. The classes will take place at Moyne Villa Soccer Club from 8pm to 10pm and the cost is €120 for the full course or €15 per week and places are limited.

The Galway Arts School based at Tonemace, Corrandulla are starting new art courses for Teenagers (13 to 18 years) this coming February 4th. The class will target teenagers who have an indepth interest in art and want to focus on building and developing their skills. Classes will give students a chance to explore projects and techniques indepth.

The Class runs for 6 weeks every Saturday 10am to noon and all material is provided. No experience is necessary and the cost is €120, with a family discount for 2nd child €110 and third child €100.

Pilates Classes resume at the Headford Wellbeing Centre with two 8 week workshops. The first on Monday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30 beginning this monday 9th January 12 and running until the 27th February. The second are on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 11am beginning on the 11th January 12 and running until the 29th February.

The workshops are both 80 euros for the 8 weeks. If you sign up for one you can do make up classes with the other if you should miss a class.
