There has been a spate of burglaries in the areas surrounding Headford in the past week. Gardai are investigating three robberies where raiders ransacked properties in Ballyrickard and Glencorrib. Thousands of euro worth of gold jewellery was stolen and some cash. Gardai believe all three incidents occured as darkness fell last evening. This follows a break-in at ‘The Trading Post’ pub and filling station in Headford early on Monday 7th November.
Please be vigilant about keeping doors and windows locked both when you are in the house and when you are not. If you know of neighbours that are away on holidays, make sure to keep an eye on the property as best you can.
If you spot anything suspicious please call your local Garda station and have it checked out. Better to be safe
God help anyone who interrupts or witnesses a burglary and needs the gardai asap in headford as u could be waiting a while!!! Pathetic cutting essential services to local communities, this country is becomming a joke!!!
Yes its a joke alright, tried for over a week to get a simple Passport application witnessed but there was never anyone there or if they were they didnt answer the darn door….stupid.
So might be better to call Tuam Garda Station then! Number is 093 70840 at least someone answers the phone and its 24 hour.
Glad we weren’t the only ones having problems getting hold of the garda in Headford. We ended up going to the Tuam station to get our daughters passport app sorted out.
Speaking of gardaĆ, did they ever catch anyone in relation to the attack on the headford woman in her own home?
